For example; when using something like a Cintiq monitor that has programmable buttons/sliders, there is no way to slide left or right in Cartographica... only up and down. I've tried a number of key combos, but to no avail. Do any exist?
It would be nice to be able to use the Command+arrow(left/right/up/down) or just the arrow keys to pan around the canvas. When having to zoom in and out a lot, whilst selecting multiple items, it would be much nicer to use the arrow keys instead of having to reach for the mouse... at least when using a Cintiq tablet that is.
Also, it would be nice to have Command key shortcuts for exporting layers and such.
Thanks,
Eric

Perhaps even having a toggle key to switch between the MOVE and SELECT tools/buttons, because when using a tablet there is no way to both select objects and move the map/canvas without switching from the table pen to the mouse, or by using the table pen to click the MOVE icon or SELECT icon, which both of these is a pain and defeats the purpose of using the table pen, because you must move your hand from the screen, where you are holding onto a pen, down to the mouse, or you must have to constantly be moving to the top of the map window to click the MOVE or SELECT buttons/icons.
Tool selection already has command keys. From the Map menu, you can see that there are already command key equivalents for changing these options.
Assuming you have a sufficient number of buttons on the device (like on many of the Wacom devices), you should be able to assign a pen key or soft key to it.
As for the right/left sliders, we don't have a Cintiq here, so I can't speak to how they're handling things. However, I can tell you that we support the standard OS mechanisms for scrolling left/right as well as up/down, as evidenced by our handling of the trackpad scroll mechanisms. Perhaps there is some kind of software switch in the Cintiq to perform the equivalent of the left/right mouse scroll?
I found the 1-2-3-4 command keys for the tools, but still am unable to use anything other then the mouse to scroll around the map canvas... in other words I cannot use the arrow keys, such as when the Command-3 tool is selected. I am using a normal wireless Apple keyboard. I can use the UP and DOWN arrows whilst in the LAYER pane and in the ATTRIBUTES pane, but whilst in the CANVAS pane, I am unable to use the UP, DOWN, LEFT, and RIGHT arrow keys on the keyboard in order to pan/move the map view around.
Thanks,
Eric
